WHEN THE PASTOR IS STRENGTHENED
THE HOME, THE CHURCH AND SOCIETY
ARE HELPED AND BLESSED.
Again He said to me, “Prophesy to these bones, and say to them, ‘O dry bones, hear the word of the Lord! Thus says the Lord God to these bones: “Surely I will cause breath to enter into you, and you shall live. I will put sinews on you and bring flesh upon you, cover you with skin and put breath in you; and you shall live. Then you shall know that I am the Lord.”’” - Ezekiel 37 4-6

A Resource for Pastors
The purpose of this ministry is to bless the local pastor and his family. We want to encourage the pastor with information, resources and events that can be helpful to them and their families.
Subscribe to our E-mail list to join a specialty list of concerned pastors from a variety of Christian denominations, who have requested to be informed of culturally spiritual issues which may affect the local church.
Alan Redpath's statement "A church is no stronger than its homes, for a church is made up of families", should cause each of us to look at our own family, but also the families that are in our church. It is my goal in starting this additional ministry with AFA to strengthen and bless the pastor and his family, with helpful information and encouraging words. With so much material available, I hope this web site will streamline that information and give you what you will consider to be vital to your life and your ministry.
American Family Association President, Tim Wildmon, has assigned me the task of helping pastors to be involved in our culture conflict and to make Romans 12:1-2 a reality. "…do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind…"
After pastoring for thirty-seven (37) years, I know for you to be effective as a pastor, that your own spiritual, family, and moral life must be strong. I hope to come alone side you and be an instrument of God to help strengthen you in your life and your ministry. It is my prayer that through the "Repairing the Foundations" web site and through the ministry of AFA/AFR this will be accomplished.

With marriage being legally redefined by courts and legislatures, churches are facing uncertain times. Will churches and para-church ministries have sole control over hiring a person based on his or her sexual orientation? Will health insurance provided by a ministry be forced to cover abortifacient drugs? Will some scripture passages be ruled unlawful as "hate speech?"
If we come to those positions, as a church or as a ministry, those in charge will have to decide whether to obey God or government. I hope we do not have to make that decision, but I do believe we must come to the place where we are ready if that time comes. Peter made it plain in Acts 4:18-22 that there are limits to which the government can tell us what and what not to do. For Peter, he was determined to obey God. Daniel had to make big decisions about his service to the King and his devotion to his God. Again, Daniel chose to obey God. Daniel’s three contemporaries, Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego had to decide if they would bow down to a pagan king and worship him or be thrown into the fiery furnace. Thank the Lord they chose not to bow; therefore we have the rest of the story -- they did not burn.
We do not know what we are facing in the days ahead, but I hope we will receive strength from the scriptures and obey God. I pray that we will be faithful “to preach the Word in season and out of season.”
