Welcome to Repairing The Foundations

This ministry exists to support and encourage local pastors and their families by providing helpful resources, information, and events. It also invites pastors from various Christian denominations to join an email list for updates on cultural and spiritual issues impacting local churches.

The Purpose

Tim Wildmon, President of the American Family Association, has tasked the author with helping pastors engage in today’s cultural challenges and live out Romans 12:1-2 by renewing their minds. Drawing on 37 years of pastoral experience, the author aims to support pastors in strengthening their spiritual, family, and moral lives through the Repairing the Foundations website and the ministry of AFA/AFR.

Dealing With Issues

As laws and court rulings continue to redefine marriage, churches and faith-based organizations face growing uncertainty about their freedoms. Questions arise over whether ministries will retain the right to hire based on biblical beliefs about sexuality, if their health insurance will be required to cover abortifacients, or if certain scripture passages could be labeled as “hate speech.” These challenges force church leaders to consider where they will draw the line between obeying government regulations and staying true to their understanding of God’s commands.

Scriptural examples emphasize faithful obedience to God even under pressure from authority. Peter’s defiance in Acts 4:18–22, Daniel’s steadfastness before the king, and the courage of Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego illustrate the biblical resolve to honor God above all. The hope expressed is that modern believers will find similar strength through scripture, remaining steadfast and proclaiming truth regardless of cultural or legal changes, staying faithful to “preach the Word in season and out of season.”
